Jake's Bday

For Jakes Birthday we started the day on our normal trip to Austin.

We stopped on a Theater on our way home to see "Pongo". It was a fun movie, though the music made us all very relaxed and a bit sleepy.

While we waited for our show to start we enjoyed some lunch at the little cafe in the restaurant. Though honestly we could have shared just the small pizza and nacho supreme between the all of us.

On Wed. we finally had time for cake and ice cream

Tabatha and I made this pokemon cake. It is on a "sand battleground" because Tabatha swore she had never seen a green grass one.

As you can see, he made out really well. And for those who know Nick you can see that Jake is taking after his big brother in his love of Transformers. BTW don't be shocked if you talk to Jake and when you call him Jake he says "No I'm Turtwig". He is becoming a huge Pokemon fan as wll.

Linzy's Break

I was able to go to the Spa back in July, right before Sean left. I also went to Le'Spa and enjoyed a Sea weed body treatment, hot rock massage, facial, lunch and mani/pedi. It made for a relaxing day and a way to re-energize for these last 3 months.

As usual I ruined my manicure when I went to pick up my Shoes at the end, but my toes are still a nice lime green.

Sean's Bday!

--Well as some of you know. San Antonio did not happen, but that does not mean we didn't have some fun.

On Sat, Sean's Birthday, he got to go over to Le'Spa for the "Gentlemen's Retreat". Where he had a massage, facial and pedi. When he got home we had Clam Chowder (even though it was like 95+ degrees outside. And then we had cake. Below is a picture of Sean's cake (his mom's recipe), it doesn't look too bad considering Jake got into it and dug holes as he ate and threw pieces of it over the kitchen. (You just can't leave anything within that boy's reach).

Later Jake decided that he was the one to blow out the candles and beat Sean to it.

Austin Park

Ok so we decided to take advantage of the fact that we had to drive to Austin for Nick's OT appointment yesterday and stop at Austin Park on our way home.

We had a really fun time!

I'm sure Sean will share his pictures later, but here are some of the ones I took.
First we played Laser Tag:

And then we went out to try the water boats. Nick was tall enough to drive his own boat (will see in later pictures), but Jake was about 4-6 inches too short still. So he took turns spraying water with Mom and Dad.

We gave Jake a chance for a ride just for him on the Tea cups. He was ok with it as long as Nick didn't try to spin them too fast.

Then we got the chance to go on some race cars. First time around it was Sean and Nick, with Tabatha in her own car.

Afterwards we went inside and enjoyed the "All-You-Can-Eat Pizza and Salad Bar".

And finally before heading home, hot and tired we played around on the arcade games (free excpet for those that paid out tickets). Of course Sean played one game and got over 300 tickets. He is lucky at those Jackpot games.

As requested...

Since we found out we may be moving to England in the coming year, it was requested that we start a blog to keep family and friends updated.

Trying not to be someone who puts things off for tomorrow, I decided to get it started now, while things are calm. Well relatively so, with us currently waiting for Sean to come home for R&R.
